Dixon Happenings in Feb/March

Emma had some fun doing hair salon
Marie built James and Emma a castle to sleep in on their bunk beds complete with Princess and Knight chambers.

We had some green eggs and ham for Dr. Seuss' birthday in March.
Emma enjoyed wearing a rain coat recently.  This was one of our first rains (it did turn to snow), so it was fun to go out on that wet, wet, wet day!
James earned a Pride Award at school for showing Pride-ful behavior and being an all-around good kid!

James had his first grade music program.  I was singing "Larry the Lobster" for a couple of days afterward.

Marie was learning about genes and had to come up with these cool creatures that would be what you'd find if you crossed different dominant and recessive genes.  Her teacher thought it was so good he wouldn't put it in the pile with everyone else's.

James has been busy creating...this is his cardstock pirate ship from paper he got for Christmas.
Also, James' Wanted Poster:  "He's fat and strong, watch out!"

The Tale of the Three Digits

Here is the short version of the story of my fingers...
What we were trying to make.  Carrots are officially on my bad list!

What I came home looking like after the hospital.  Had 3 stitches in my index finger.
The pink twinkie stage as JJ calls it

Seriously...look at those!

In the middle of the pink twinkie stage.  (We didn't take a picture of my ring finger as I wasn't sure if I could see it yet)
What they look like today!  (Not pictured:  the band-aide stage.  They told me to give them some air so JJ loosely wrapped them in band-aides for a while-still do this stage in public.)
Doesn't look half bad for missing a chunk!
